They cancelled after 40 years an no claimss, June, 2018
I have been insured with them for 50 years and never filed a claim. For first time in 40 years of coverage they came to my house and took pictures. Then they decided not to renew the policy because I live on a greenbelt with some brush. They love loyalty from customers but they have no loyalty to customers. I have cancelled auto and membership and would not recommend them to anyone.

I was insured with AAA for about 2 years and I LOVED IT! AAA was $100 cheaper a MONTH compared to the company I was with before and they had AWESOME coverage and I had no problem since I had zero accidents or any previous history. AAA is great if you don't plan on getting into an accident or better yet since no one plans on getting into a fender bender or totaling your car, most of the time you're taken away by surprise. Well all was well until I got into an accident (Where I wasn't at fault) and was rear ended by someone who was doing 40mph and wasn't paying attention and I'd come to a stop at the stop light. The AAA claims agent I had was the absolute worst agent anyone could possibly have gotten! He didn't keep me updated let alone return my emails or calls. It's been 5 months since the accident and he's not even done anything about it as far as a claim. I had to call other agents and figure out where there were on the process and my PIP benefits. I talked to his extremely rude manager and no one seemed to want to take responsibility for my claim and so I'm changing insurances. I needed physical therapy, MRI scans and a bunch of other work done and AAA hasn't even gotten back to me on any of it.
My view on insurance is that, when you need it at such a time as an accident, you (the customer) shouldn't be stressing out about things that you're not getting paid to do. I on the other hand was the one who had to communicate back and forth with the at-fault party's insurance and figure things out. I highly recommend staying away from AAA at all costs as they have the WORST customer service after an accident and I think that is when you need to be able to rely on your insurance and them taking care of you the most.

I was in an accident at no fault of my own and suffered injuries. The adjuster sent a check of $300 for my car to be fixed and the body shop laughed, damages over $3000.00, when I told them I needed medical attention they asked "are you really sure you want to file a claim" and then I dealt with even more grief when my claim was handled by Lauren Brown who Im sure has not ever been injured herself. When I could barely move without pain she told me she wasnt sure my medical bills would be covered. She has no empathy or compassion. Her offer again was a joke and barely covered the medical expenses, not to mention the medical bills that I will have in the future for the flare ups that continue to happen. Lauren Brown is a disgrace to AAA. Someone hits me on the highway from behind and Im left fighting AAA for help.

I have been a AAA member since 1979 and have used the agency for the last 4 years. At present, I have an auto policy with Safeco Insurance. I decided to shop around as the premium went up more than usual. I was told that AAA Insurance was their best quote. I did not accept the quote and started to call other companies. I received a better quote from Travelers when I called them. I then found out that AAA Insurance Agency also represents Travelers and never quoted me the price from them. They are trying to get their customers to buy AAA Insurance even when they are not the cheapest.

We switched from AAA to Mercury after our car got totalled in an accident when a woman hit us after she ran a red light. The insurance company gave us only $3000 for a virtually brand new car and did barely anything for us. So then after we were with Mercury for a few years my dad decided to switch back to AAA. Worst decision ever! I got hit by a state vehicle recently. This time we made sure to get full coverage on my car. But no, the insurance agent was being extremely pushy telling me to take the blame and just pay the deductible. Even though I DIDN'T CAUSE THE ACCIDENT! Imagine that. Even the police told me that I wouldn't have to worry about paying anything and the rental would be covered by the state vehicle but no, the insurance agent kept pushing me to take the blame. Why? To hike up my insurance rate. We will never be returning to AAA again after it this year is up.

I honestly wish I had the option to put no star. This AAA location is not even worth a one star rating. I had the ugliest experience with an insurance company EVER at this location. I have never had issues with triple AAA in the past I used to love AAA, I used to do business with the location in Addison where the service was very efficient and the employees knew what they were doing and how to treat their customers. AAA in Arlington is by far the worst insurance company, and the service is garbage. The manager(Randall Grimm) is downright rude, and the employee who attempted to help me was unsure about what they were doing, wasted 3hours of my time, and I had to cancel another appointment and I was late for my class because I had to sort an issue with them out, that they blamed on their system. I called the employee who served me 3 times after that, left two voicemails and emailed twice requesting my proof of insurance documents to be resent electronically since I was shopping for other options, I waited 9 days, and yet she had promised to get back to me by the end next day. I had to email them again to remind them to send my documents after my calls were unreturned, I also called the manager Randall Grimm, who was incredibly dismissive and rude, he did not wait for me to explain what happened, and cut me off during my conversation with him on the phone. AAA is a great company with a reputation for great service but the AAA Arlington location is the worst insurance company location in Texas. I decided to move to another insurance company and will definitely share my experience, I don't want anyone to go through such a bad experience and have to pay for such poor service. I definitely will not be using AAA again.

We had AAA for home and auto for several years now. We had made no claims- but the rates kept rising and coverage dropping. We had to make a claim on auto a few months ago (less than $2500)- 3 months to payout- lots of time trying to get paid- just got the bill for house and auto renewel- we are NOT renewing- cost nearly doubled. Pay the premiums but but don't use it! WHY have insurance if you are punished when you need it??? and it takes many hours to just get the repairs made.
We had other insurance companies and made claims- but never experienced this type of increase for a small claim (actually any other claim we made that this was not our fault)

Had wind and hail storms come through, all the houses around us had their roofs replaced through their insurance companies but us. We had to pay almost $11,000 of our own money to replace our roof because AAA refused our claim. Thanks AAA for putting us in the poor house.

I have had AAA for the past year. When I signed up with them I was super impressed and happy with them. I soon realized why they were so nice to me. They sold me their highest plan, which I don't mind being covered, but then it just increases every year, even though I did not file any claims or use them in any way. We moved in order to not drive or commute anymore. So now our car sits on the second level of a stacking garage behind 2 locked gates. I bike to work so barely drive. Why would this make my insurance increase$700 a year? They would not work with me in any way to discuss lower options. They went from being the most helpful to the most unhelpful. I was very surprised. This is what spurred me to shop around. I was also surprised in how badly we where ripped off last year. Our payments were $174 a month, and then when we moved they went to $320 a month, despite driving less and safer storage of our car. When I shopped around I discovered many places that would insure me for $60 to $70 a month, I couldn't believe how badly we were ripped off. Since then I canceled my insurance as well as my membership. I would have kept my membership but canceled it in order to cover all the cancellation fees they hit me with. I am cutting all ties with AAA and never going back or recommending them. So get ready for very nice customer service when they are selling to you, and then they sell you a plan that you really don't need because it's costing you the same price as the value of your car.
Life put in danger by claim adjuster, January, 2015
After I was involved in an accident my claims adjuster from triple aaa auto insurance, Wendy, told me to drive my car even after I told her that the safety restrains were malfunctioning, then I was yelled at by her supervisor when I asked to be reassigned to someone who wouldn't put my life in danger.

I started my policy around 10 years ago. The premiums were great, and I was satisfied with the customer service that I received.
I have had no accidents, but my premiums continued to rise. I tried to work with my agent to get better rates because I didn't want to go elsewhere, but there was nothing that could be done. I finally decided to see what else was out there, and I gave them one last opportunity to give me a break, but they seemed...dare I say it... happy that I was leaving.
When my account was drafted for the last premium after my cancellation (that I tried to stop when I changed companies), I learned that my policy hadn't been canceled yet and that my agent couldn't do it, so I had to call someone in another city to get them to do it so that I could be refunded. The person I called was obviously disgusted and displeased at even hearing my voice. I found out he was my agent's supervisor and he was the absolute rudest person I've dealt with thus far. After I finally straightened out the problem, he didn't even call me back. He never tried to save a customer. It was seriously like they were glad to let me go.
I guess I am bitter about the lack of customer service with this company. It didn't use to be this way. I always loved the AAA office because the people were so friendly and ready to help. The toll free number was a delight to call because they were knowledgeable and friendly. Now, not only do they not know what they're talking about, they are abrupt and rude, as well. It makes me very sad to see what was once a great company with great customer service go downhill so fast. I strongly recommend thinking twice before obtaining coverage here.

Do not get insurance with AAA. They are a corrupt company. The day after Christmas, they notified my mother they were dropping her insurance because she made too many claims. A drunk driver totaled her vehicle, she hit a wild animal, and she made a claim for minor damage caused by running into a concrete block in a parking lot, but these were all spread over four years. Evidently, AAA expects its members to pay without making claims. When she asked the agent why she was being penalized for the drunk driving incident (the most recent claim), the agent replied that "Any time you make a claim, whether it is your fault or not, you will be penalized." They are a corrupt company, and I am warning everyone I know not to get insurance through them. I am dropping my AAA roadside assistance, but I will never affiliate with them in any way. DO NOT get auto or homeowner's insurance with this company. Read the other reviews. Sounds like this is a common practice.

If I could give AAA of Southern California 0 stars I would. As a consumer, I have never been treated with as much disrespect as I was today by the Insurance Branch Manager Brian ********. From the get go, my Husband and I were treated like scum. He was abrupt, smug and unwilling to hear us out. In a nut shell, due to the incompetence and lack of follow through of our Insurance Agent Jennifer ********, our auto and renters policy had been canceled by no fault of our own. I even went into the office when the original issue occurred in October of 2012 to have all of our policies reinstated. Less than a month later the policy (unbeknownst to us) was canceled again as Jennifer failed to file the appropriate form with the underwriter to reinstate the renters policy. Fast forward to 11/2014 we had a flood with a loss and called to file a claim at which time we were told that we did not have a renterâ€™s policy effective October 2012. Furthermore, I have correspondence in July 2013 to Jennifer indicating that we have moved to a new address and that I would like to have my address and RENTERS POLICY updated to the new house. An email was received in August 2013, after I had to contact her again wanting to know if the changes had been made and at no time did she mention that I no longer had a current renters policy. Had I been made aware of the situation in 2013 more than a year before my claim in November of 2014, I certainly would have taken the steps to resolve the matter and have the policy reinstated. No communication was made on their behalf to alert me to the issue. This is only one of the issues that I have encountered while with AAA Insurance.
Borderline illegal action; refusal to compensate, August, 2014
Filed a claim. AAA sent out field agent. Quickly sent out check before damage could even be assessed. My complaints were never addressed and AAA sent letters from their lawyer saying they would not pay. Their actions were in violation of California insurance code. Stay clear if AAA. By the way, this was our first claim ever, and they only paid $7500 even though cheapest quote was for $20,000.

The car was parked and hit in the parking lot by an AAA Insured driver. Fortunately the driver left a note saying he did the damage. It took them almost a week to even send an adjuster. Adjuster said he couldn't appraise the mechanical damage. Repair shop quoted the damage and repaired the car. AAA denied the claim stating a Honda with 130,000 miles was worn out anyway. I paid over $700 out of my pocket for damage admitted to by AAA customer. It's time for a lawyer. Just hope you never get hit by an AAA customer. I'm a claimant, not an AAA customer. I wish there was a way to give them less than one star.

After blackmails, they have stolen my car (I'm not their client}, and did a lot of criminal and federal offenses like fraud, scam, theft, blackmail, perjury, corruption, obstruction of justice. Even my own insurance, Progressive, covered up their offenses by erasing my complaint at CHP... I filed a federal complaint against more than 30 persons. My grandfather is a Vet and has had triple AAA for home owner Insurance for over 39 years! he recently had a bad leak that flooded the home, but they had to go to a hotel due to water damage, and they are 91 years old he and his wife! also they have a care giver, Let me say through experience of having my own flood, we had and still have Farmers, we were treated with such respect, and all our meals and hotel room and pet hotels were paid for, and we got to pick out our own carpet, cabinets ect, This poor vet is treated terrible by Michelle! they were not even offered a choice in all this! seems like triple AAA just was going to pick out their carpet, kitchen cabinets tiling and everything else for them instead of giving them the choice! then Triple AAA told them they would not pay for their meals due to they got a hotel with a little kitchenette, because they had to have a 2 bedroom for the care giver. Unbelievable, and the customer service has been so rude to them, trying to pinch a penny anyway they can. Im discusted they can treat a 91 year old vet and his wife this way, alomost as if they are taking advantage of them due to their age ! 39 years with Triple AAA and this is how they are treated! Sorry but I have farmers and they paid for everything knowing how stressed we were. I had auto and home insurance with AAA two years; I just terminated now because they had a cheating business to customer.
I reported hail damage on roof in 9/2014; the AAA claims unit in St. Louis MO sent two adjusters to my house, they picked up the damages incompletely and selectively, want to make cast of repair just less than deductible. I complained after received the estimate, then AAA sent an engineer out inspected again and found some hail damages that the adjusters did not select in. but the claim unit manager(team in St. Louis, MO) said all the damages the engineer verified are included on the estimate. How included? Some damages did not pick up when wrote the estimate. Did the estimate include found damage and un-found damage? They are cheating. I contacted with them more than 4 months, the claim unit manager wonâ€™t figure out the issue, said you are done. I had to bring my claim to AAA President in MO to fix. No credit to the team.

AAA has high white supremacy. They all stick together and they are untrue. The man in Michigan GS Whiting was actually fired from Allstate for doing the same thing to their members. Yet AAA hired him! He is doing the same thing there. He is untrue and manipulative. Bill Maraldo is on the same team. Before my claim was even looked at they told me via e-mail they would deny it. They said they do not fix roofs no matter what. They hired their people to come out over and over again, lie to our faces from MidPoint and then shelled out a bogus report for Bill Maraldo. Its obvious they are paid to do this. Slimy men running this organization. Our hired State Engineer said that there claim was bogus. We currently have two engineers disputing their claim. One will come to court with us. AAA has no engineers in their organization, but they have lawyers sitting around waiting for people to file. So they feel they can just screw you. Well not this gal! I have e-mails and voice recordings of all their shenanigans - especially Bill Maraldo screaming at the top of his lungs at me on the phone, causing my children to cry. This company has gone down hill since bringing these lowlifes aboard. We are long term AAA customers. Bathroom flooded which caused a lot of damage and they would not cover it.
They are good at taking premiums. After that their claims specialists and adjusters are trained to deny claims so their adjusters can take home bonuses. Their adjusters are rotten and blatantly lie in order to deny a claim. They turn hostile, when it comes time to help the insured.

Had a leak June 2, 2014. Took AAA a 4 day to start drying wrong area. 3 weeks kitchen for them to come out a second time to check damage. Kitchen covered in mold. And now has to be replaced. The sent check for 17,000.00. This is to cover 3100 toxic dumping/removal, 1st guys cost of 1100.00 partical deying work till AAA crew came in. Also the cost of 2dumpsters for $500.00. Removal/replaceing of water heater, stove, oven,dishwasher, and oven repair of 600.00. Contains manipulation 1000.00 time 2. Leaving less than 10000.00 to demo and replace kitchen and garage. Talked to another woman who has same insurance and kitchen flood and not paid enough. If AAA had done the dry out right this would never would have needed kitchen. The mold has put one person in ERROR and another under a special ist care. It is not worth the 300.00 year savings. Someone had a flood 2 weeks after us, her work is done, as the paid 10000.00 upfront for her to get work done and it was just a pipe in wall. They are taking advantage of seniors

A south Kansas City couple experienced the gut-wrenching loss of their daughter in a January 4, 2015 fire. Rick and Sue Herrera’s daughter Sue Sue died in an accidental fire that burned their home to the ground.
Without the Herreras’ knowledge, Auto Club Family Insurance Company, known to the public as AAA Insurance, had the Herreras’ beautiful two-story mansion listed as only 3,617 square feet, when the actual size of their house was more than twice that, 7,531 square feet.
Incredibly, AAA had reduced the size of the Herreras’ home on its insurance papers after AAA had been to the house to handle, or “adjust”, two separate claims.
How did the fourth largest homeowner insurance company in Missouri miss the size of this house by almost 4,000 square feet? At one point after the fire AAA told Rick Herrera that it used the company Zillow to determine the square footage, but in a letter to the Missouri Department of
Insurance, AAA claimed that it obtained square footage on the Herreras’ home from a company known as MSB. On his own, Rick Herrera contacted MSB to find out the records MSB had on his house. It turns out that MSB doesn’t keep a database on the square footage of homes in Missouri, or elsewhere. Herrera's just know, AAA was off by “only” 3,914 square feet.
The Herreras have asked the Missouri Department of Insurance and the Missouri Attorney General to look into AAA’s practices.

I have been with AAA for over 10 years. Never submitting a claim. On time payments, a model customer by their standards.
Every year I would get a policy renewal sent to me with what that years policy will cost. I opened this years and the policy was raised by over $600 for the year!!! for my home and 2 cars was $1,992 now they want $2,619????
I called and talked to a AAA rep, She told me that due to claims made and medical costs being paid out to other AAA members rates are going up for the year and all AAA members have to take a hit and thats the nature of the business...
what kind of crap is that??? I have to pay for someone elses claims?????

Have had AAA HOME INSURANCE for about 12 years never made claim until a few weeks ago. Insurance adjuster a total Tool. Had a contractor tell me to beware they were going to deny my claim even though there was plenty if wind and damage to my

AAA Insurance is one of the oldest and trustworthy Insurances out there,with one of the best coverages we have found. We have had Allstate,Geico and now we have AAA and they have everything we need,towing, roadside asst.you can use their card for lodging,and many other things.

In general I a pleased with most aspects off my service from AAA. My greatest displeasure is that they are very expensive. Because the cos t is high, I thought I was covered for all contingencies except Floods, but I discovered that I was not covered for sewer backup. I think that my original agent should have suggested this coverage.

Cancelled Insurance with no written notification, February, 2019
My husband and I decided to decline full coverage on 2 vehicles and kept full coverage on 1. In Nov. 2018 we paid $1000 in late November to cover what we owed for the payment adjustment for the price reduction to lower coverage and some went towards our home owners insurance.We received a refund check of $100+ and assumed that we overpaid. Today we found out by our State's DMV that our policy was canceled. Knowing that we had paid, we called AAA for clarification. We were informed that our homeowners was paid up, but the payment for our auto insurance was short with no reflection of our lowering our coverage. We never received a warning notification and there was no rationale as to why we received a refund. In Nov, Dec, and January we were traveling the highways never knowing that we were not insured. Thank God nothing happened on the road. Our account was not adjusted to reflect the changes in out policy and we were cancelled. We have had auto insurance for more than 43 years and have never been cancelled by any company. We have A+ credit and live a debt free lifestyle. I am so disappointed in this company, but at the same time grateful that we were notified by a 3rd party. I went out today driving never ever thinking that I was driving uninsured. All things work together for good.

AAA Homeowners Insurance is a rip off. They lowball the cost and take your money for years but try and make a legitimate claim. They totally denied any responsibility for our roof repair which after 15 years of surviving several high wind storms and hail were according to them “incorrectly installed”. We have had very high winds between 65 and 75 mph's for over a month or long fact remain since we filed a claim back in February it is still blowing!
We have a cinder block wall, it is only on our land on one side the other side is on Allstate property! It's on a slop. We have a claim adjuster that has refused to return my call for the last 4 times I have called her! I can't get any information on what is going on with with claim and it's been over a month! I finally called the main number and talked to another agent they are going to be doing testing on the ground, earth,and soil! He told me to start the work! Like two senior citizens that are disabled have the money or can do it! I said so AAA is trying to get out of paying for this, he said did I say that, well yes! With this wind it is getting worse as time goes by!
I want to know why we have home and auto insurance at all? Because of this our insurance is going to go up, and they won't answer my calls and haven't done anything! This is a terribly ran company who treats seniors terrible! My husband is so upset I thought he was going to have a heart attack over this!
I need the number for management for the claims adjuster I will not be ignored or treated like this I have never been late paying for my insurance at all! I am so sick over this!

My experience with AAA is the auto insurance has the lowest cost. When a tree fell on my car, my premiums did not go up. I would not use their recommended providers for repairs. I used one of their preferred provider and my car was guaranteed the repairs to be done within 2 weeks. The rental car was covered for 30 days but the repairs took 7 weeks. After the 3rd week, I was angry with empty promises from the repair shop. After I picked up my car, I found my odometer had an additional 600+ miles added to my car. It appeared to me the repair shop used my car for traveling and damaged my car is some way that included my rear bumper/fender because it was listed in the repairs but my bumper was perfectly fine when I dropped my car off. The repair shop was in Lincolnwood or Skokie and was run by foreign speaking (Russian, Romanian??) caucasians. I will never use one of their preferred shops ever again. Other than this incident, I have been very happy with AAA. AAA can't be blamed for a repair shop that is ruined crookedly.

Last year my mom, a AAA Member since she was 16, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The first time in over 40 years, she was late on 2 payments. After she was home, I took over bills, called them immediately, and made the two payments, explaining the situation, that her Cancer came back in her brain and she had to have brain surgery. Their response was, in order for her to renew her policy, she has to make a full years payment. I told the Rep, that she could not afford that, and that she has been with them for over 40 years with no late payment, and in those 40 years has only made a few claims. And apologized because it was an over sight, my brother thought he had made a payment, but the payment was for the member service and with the stress of my mom being in the hospital. She told me there was nothing she can do, and they wouldn't renew her policy, unless it was paid a year in advance. Needless to say, we had to find another Insurance company. I can't begin to describe the disappointment and disgust I felt at that moment. Is this how this company treat their loyal customers? I definitely will never go through them again, neither will my family. And on top of that, they wouldn't refund the money we paid for the membership fee. So on top of having a new insurance that had all the perks they did, we paid a membership fee that wasn't going to be used at all.

Stay away from AAA. Firstly, they increased by premium by $400 after I changed my address even through when I purchased my policy, they said my new address would be less then my current one. After I changed my address, they prorated my policy back to the start date even though the agent on the phone said this was not possible to do. I get a bill in the mail for back fees. Ridiculous! Furthermore, when I found out they increased my premium, I canceled the policy and switch to Geico with was $900 cheaper for the same exact policy. To add insult to injury, AAA did not cancel the policy when I had asked and charged me an extra day, with late fees and penalties for not paying on time.

Things were great at first, I was told about all these extra discounts I was eligible for. There was a discount for having auto payments. So, I took this option. Just a couple months later they send me a letter stating "My insurance has not been paid." Therefore, causing there to be a lapse in my coverage. They made me pay an extra $50/month for like 5 months to take care of the lapse. ONE month later, this same thing happened AGAIN!! I signed a paper giving them permission to take out the insurance money at a specific time every month, and because someone there didn't do their job, I got penalized for it.

AAA.-We recently needed to file a claim with AAA for roof damage that occurred as a result of two separate hailstorms in 2017. We discovered the problem in 2018 when a section of the roof leaked into the master bedroom. Two adjustors made an initial visit to our home, but did not ascend to the roof. The adjustors indicated there was frost on the roof and another visit would be scheduled at another time to check out the roof. The adjustors instead conducted an assessment of some sort around the perimeter of the home and took many pictures. I was not aware that this would take place and neither adjustor indicated at the time of the initial visit that a perimeter inspection of my home would be conducted.

This was my mistake for trusting AAA and not following up. I thought I was agreeing to a rate that was covering for 1 year and it was covering for just 6 months. My insurance was being paid in an escrow account. My agent was sending policy updates and increases to my mortgage lender and not to me each year. My mortgage was going up each year at a rate of $50 per month. I didn't check why and found out that my mortgage was increasing greatly each year but I wasn't told. It is my fault for not checking; however, I feel that I have been a victim of price gouging. After for shopping for new rates, I found that AAA had been charging me over double what other agencies charge. I I didn't question it because I was too trusting of a national name such as AAA.. I lost thousands of dollars. I will never do business with them again. I would like to warn others not to trust and to always verify and check yearly.

I was a victim of the Camp Fire, and had AAA insurance. They have been difficult and rude at every juncture. While other companies have been very available and proactive about meeting with victims and writing out checks for the entire covered limits, this company will go out of its way to avoid paying you the full amounts that you are covered for, in the various categories. I had to finally file a claim with the department of insurance. As a single example, after the Camp Fire in Paradise, the State Insurance Commissioner requested that all insurance companies pay 100% of Personal Property without forcing you to itemize everything. But AAA will only give you 50%, then make you itemize for the entire amount, before giving you the rest of the money. They are likewise incredibly stingy about paying out in the other categories (Cost of Rebuilding, Additional Living Expenses, etc). You have to fight them for every cent.

Ordered AAA, and then decided to cancel it (I decided to receive this service through my insurance) within 5 minutes. The funds were immediately withdrawn from my account.
First they lied and stated that I had received services (within the five minutes, to prevent a refund), and we had to prove that it was not true. Next they (AAA) stated that it would take 5-7 days to receive the refund. When I did not receive the refund within that time frame, We were then informed that it would take 10 business days to receive the refund. When I did not receive the refund within that time period, we were then informed that it takes up to 14 "business days".
It took AAA "2 seconds" to remove the funds from my account, but they are "very slow" when it comes to returning your refund. The "14 business days" will be up shortly, and hopefully my refund will be returned to my account.

Our vehicle was hit in a parking lot by a CSAA customer. The claims adjuster Tahsona Inge had no empathy and seemed to not care at all for the damage to our vehicle by her policy holder. The car was at the body shop for 3 weeks before they deemed it a total loss due to its age even though it only has 55,000 miles on it. She was not helpful and her customer service skills are horrible.

I signed with AAA because of the competitive Rate. They resort to trickery to save every penny when there is a claim. First they tried to downplay the value of my replacement. Then after approving the replacement, they changed their decision because I wouldn't agree to let them replace with a lower model. Then when they insisted that I have to repair it, they told me they would pay to transport the unit to the shop for repair and I could send them the invoice, after I transported it, they refused to pay for the transport. Supervisors are very unprofessional and not credible at all.

They sent me an new policy so I cancelled my old one. 2 days later they cancelled it saying their inspector found a hazard. I live next to a small airport. They should NEVER have made the policy before their inspection. I had to scramble around for a new policy, which cost more than the old one. Then they had the nerve to charge me for the days it was in effect. AAA just wants your money however they can get it. Do not trust them. They will burn you in heartbeat.

AAA is the worst!! I got a flat and had my car towed by a AAA tow service. The tow driver damaged my brake line so I filed a damage claim with AAA. When it happened they told me there was nothing they could do to help me outside of my AAA plan (even though their tow driver damaged my car and left me stranded hours from home until my car could be repaired). After the repair, I spent a month and a half calling AAA every week to check on the claim. Each time I was told the person handling my case was at lunch, or out of the office until next week, or would call me back tomorrow. Never happened. Finally, weeks later I was told that coincidences happen and it was just a coincidence my brake line was damaged after the tow and they would not be reimbursing the claim. I feel robbed. Aside from the "coincidence" the customer service was terrible and the lack of communication was infuriating. I would never recommend AAA to anyone.

I've had AAA insurance for multiple homes, Multiple cars, life insurance and AAA plus road service for 25 years never had a claim. We had major hail storm here Kalkaska Michigan July 8th 2016. My car hail damage affected hood, roof, windshield totally cracked and all panels, moldings were affected the hail was golf size. I had just bought 2016 jeep Cherokee and had 10 to $12000.00 damage. I fully expected the car to be totaled out and get a new one. The local agent was Steve and on vacation and no agent was available until a Lansing inspector was available. I dropped my jeep off at voice body shop on Kalkaska and I was given 20 year old loaner and the Air Conditioner hardly works. A estimate was mailed to me after a month and Steve never bothered to call me and let me know what was going on. When I called him he answered the phone and that was basically it he just listened and I gave up talking to him and hung up. So when I called voice body shop boss dick he could not give me any sort of timing all he told me his guy was home because his wife is ready to have a baby. We are stuck hear at home and had to cancel all of our appointments. This is by far the worst service ever and after 25 years I would thought someone would let us know what's going on. So next week 5 weeks nothing done yet and we will have to get different insurance to have a good insurance agent is real and cares.

Yes, I did sign up for their Services, however, since I did Not need their Services after all since I decided that I am Not Going To Drive At All,
I decided to Cancel Their Services Right Away with American Express since that is How I Paid For Their Services To Begin With and Had No Problem In Doing So!
American Express therefore Gave Me The Credit Back Right Away and Blocked My Account from being Charged and/or from being Re-Billed Again.
However, this company is a Big Fraud because Not too long after I Cancelled their Services, they started having one of their Uneducated Employees Call Me Up On The Phone and Harass Me For About $60.00 Dollars Or So That I Do Not Owe Them for their Services to Begin With in which I Never Used, Utilized or Needed after all!
In Addition, they have been Extremely Disgustingly and Rudely Aggressive For The Wrong Reasons after I Have Told Them Over The Phone The Whole Situation and they have Continued To Illegally Call Me Against My Will and Ignore My Responses.
I have therefore asked them to Cease and Desist Immediately and sadly, My Wishes Have Not Been Respected!
I had ended Up Swearing, Yelling and Cursing them to Leave Me The F***K Alone or I will Call The Police.
Sadly, that is where this had led to and My Next Step Is To File A Police Report Against Them if it Continues!

In addition, the American Automobile Association went further then that.
They even sent it over to two different collections agencies to harass me as well which are: AWA Collections, PO Box 6605, Orange, CA 92863-6605 (888) 771-3690 and Southwest Credit, 4120 International Parkway Suite #1100, Carrollton, TX 75007-1958 (866) 274-9801.
It is amazing on how far they would go.
All of their documents are Going Viral and so is their company name!

Despite having low rates and a wonderful agent, I am extremely disappointed and angry with the claims handling division after my accident. After taking 24 hours to get a tow, I was initially told I would be contacted the next day by my claim handler. After two more days, I contacted them. They lied and said they contacted me already. No, you did not. I was finally contacted 2 additional days later and was informed I would receive more information in 2 more days. Another 9 days later (7 business days) I was mailed a business reply envelope to mail my title in. Its been 3 days since I mailed them ownership of my vehicle, and was told it will be ANOTHER 10 business days for them to process THAT to receive my payment! That adds up to 27 days without a vehicle, dealing with the main claim handling agency located 200 miles away. Not happy at all with the deceptive, slow, and unprofessional handling of this incident!

AAA Replaced my battery last year without cleaning or adding any dielectric or anti corrosion materials. After 11 months today the battery is dead and the car is not starting. I have called them and they send a guy who showed to me the corrosion and explain how that caused the battery to no to be charged. I said fantastic! this battery is AAA and was installed by AAA and here is the receipt with warranty of 3 years! after he knew that he said he doesn't have batteries in his truck but he will send someone with battery. I said OK and stayed from 6 pm till 8 pm no one came! I called them again, the rep said the car must be towed under our cost to a service shop under our cost to prove that the battery is bad! and that will cost more than the price of the battery! I said OK send someone we can't leave the car across the street. no one came! AAA doesn't care about their customer in case if they will have to pay for their associates mistakes. I ended by calling a mechanic that he came and fixed it in 15 minutes by replacing the AAA battery by another Auto-Craft battery and he told me the AAA ugly battery is under warranty for 3 years but he can't returned in any other places so the best I have got $20 core for it. He give me advice for my future if I need a battery never ever buy it from AAA for $140 because they are bad and they will not returned or replace it for free but if you go to Walmart or Auto-zone they will replace it for you free as long as under 3 years and in ny location. Really I can't believe that this is the AAA services.

Car broke down in the middle of the street, so I called at 4:00pm for a simple tow. I was told it would take at most until 6:30. The man who I spoke to on the phone seemed bored and uninterested in the problem.Well, 6:30 comes around and still nothing, no updates, no calls back. So I called them and politely asked for them to check if anyone was coming. Apparently the man had never even put in the order for us to receive a tow truck. Next I talked to a lady that seemed a bit nicer, and said itd take around another hour. She also mentioned she'd put it on the urgent list, however an hour later there was still nobody there. I finally got a text showing a dispatch route which read that a towing car didn't even plan to leave for 30 more minutes! We wait the extra time AGAIN, anddd still nothing. By the fourth call, we become a little impatient because its already been 4 hours when promised it wouldn't take over an hour and a half. All the woman says is the towing company is running behind. The towing truck is still yet to be seen.
This is unacceptable, I get someone running slow, but 4 hours?!? Ridiculous and seriously reconsidering this company. Its utter bullshit.

I filed my first auto claim with AAA and it took 3 business days for and adjuster to look at the car. It took 3 more days for the adjuster to load it up to the claim department. One week later I have been told my car is totaled and it will be another 48-72 hours before I know what that amount looks like. On top of all this one person tells me one thing and someone else tells me something totally different. No prompt call backs from the rep that was assigned to me!!!! I am now shopping for another company.

The people here seem to be extremely nice when you first become a member only to get your sale, and then once you are a member the customer service is atrocious. Every time I talk to someone I either get transferred from person to person, get hung up on, or speak to someone absolutely rude. There has been only one person I have spoken to that is respectful and will take their time on you out of the numerous amount of people I have had to speak with. Extremely disappointed for the amount you pay. You do NOT get what you pay for here at AAA.

I was hit by another vehicle because they failed to yield at a stop sign. The Police report was ready the next day...never heard from AAA claims adjuster unless WE called them. Finally reached the supervisor of the claims adjuster, but he gave excuses for his adjuster (vacation, third party gathers police report and on and on) I ended up emailing the police report over 2 months later when I found out AAA still didn't have it! Took over 2 months to get our deductible back. The person who hit me had American Family Insurance and they issued us a check for our expenses within 1 week!! We received a phone call from AAA for a survey about our experience....gave the worst rating, would never recommend them. You get what you pay for, laziness and excuses!!! THEN the supervisor of the adjuster called to apologize and went thru the whole time line of events, when he was the one covering for his adjuster with excuses with why they didn't have the necessary paperwork to do THEIR job! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!!!! Stay away from AAA!!! Worst part...we've never had a claim in 14 years! And this was how our OWN insurance company treated us! I was the one hit and I had to make the phone calls and do the running around to gather police report! What are they paid to do?

Mia Ulrich was my agent at the time, she was unprofessional and her behavior was completely unacceptable. she met with me in regards to fixing my vehicle and provided me with her personal phone number and told me to call her anytime day or night, then proceeded to tell me that if I needed any other assistance she would be available at her home and gave me her address. I called AAA to get my car towed. They told me my service had lapsed and i had to renew, which i did. I than experienced two no shows. Made several calls to AAA and was told "the tow truck is on its way", "it should be there any minute" and similar words. After waiting several hours in 20 degree weather i gave up. Call to cancel my AAA membership and learned it was set to expire in another day. Thus they lied to me, as when I first called I was still covered. I won't use them again

Alert: "AAA doesn't have emergency, evacuation policy."
Per "John" at the Calistoga evacuation center: "AAA doesn't have an evacuation emergency policy. If you can't prove damage right now I can't do anything for you. Submit proof and receipts then we will review. AAA pays fair market value." We paid for everything out of pocket since evacuation Sept. 12th and as of today Oct. 29th we are waiting for their "review".
Clients with other insurance companies were receiving waving of deductible, direct billing to motels, debit cards, and other assistance.

I have had home insurance for over 35 years and never had to file a claim until now. A storm caused my sump pumps to stop working, I had 18 inches of water, massive problems, a flooded water heater and furnace, etc. AAA has increased my premiums every year and now that I've submitted a claim, they refuse to help. I will not renew.

Rep named Jill had no patience while dealing with an almost deaf customer, was rude and cut me off and talked down to me. There is NO reason for such brusque and strident service. I don't expect to be pampered but if I start giving an address and am cut off by "APPROXIMATE LOCATION?" and with a rude tone, I am going to hang up and call a tow company.

All of the companies that AAA writes policies with will cancel your insurance with no notice. Once, we called to change our policy and were informed a home insurance company had cancelled the policy months ago and no one sent a letter or informed us.
Then, they decided to cancel after we told them about a teen driver being added soon and everything was fine on the phone. Next thing, we're getting another cancellation letter stating an effective date of cancellation prior to the receipt date of the letter.
We called to ask about the letter and were told why the policy was cancelled. However, then we start getting letter that our policy is being cancelled for non payment. My husband calls again. We were told we have to sign off on the cancellation they forced on us two months ago before they stop trying to auto deduct payment. What??? I have to sign to give your company permission to cancel my insurance against my will or you will keep billing me? But, won't pay a claim if something happens.
Again, nothing said about this while we were on the phone with our insurance agent, Gray Birch. I am taking my auto, home, recreational insurances and going somewhere else. This company is for the birds.
AAA Intentionally dragging out my claim, September, 2015
I was rear ended by someone with had bare minimum coverage from AAA and the claims adjuster is intentionally dragging to my claim, refuses to contact me or update me on the situation, and has informed me that she has arbitrarily decided the woman in front of me who I was pushed into will get his very small property damage limits because she has a newer car, even though my car is TOTALED, the woman has admitted to not having any damage, she has been given her estimate and now refuses to take it to AAA so they are refusing to move forward with fixing my car.
In addition to not caring at all about my wellbeing from being injured in the accident, losing my job, and my vehicle because of the incident, the insurance handler takes up to two weeks at minimum to respond to a simple email if she even bothers to respond at all.
It has been over two months and nothing AT ALL has happened. I have sent a formal complaint to which they redirected me back to the same claims adjuster who again, took TWO WEEKS to respond to it only to regurgitate the same copy and pasted response she keeps feeding me to drag things out.
Kelli Smith you are the WORST and should removed from your position immediately because it is obvious that you do not care at all about the people you are suppose to be helping and working with.
I am still waiting to hear back from AAA to move forward with my injury claim, which at this point I expect to take months considering they take two weeks in between what little and very brief communication there has been.

We had AAA home insurance for a few years, all was well until we needed to make a change. Our insurance agent had left the company and we received zero notice that had occurred, plus they couldn't tell us who was actually in charge of the policies. They assigned it to the home office, which was a nightmare trying to even get a hold of a person who could review or even access our information. Of course, that was about the time we had a hail damage claim to make. I will credit the adjuster for being competent and easy to work with.
As an even bigger issue, we were forced due to the downturn to vacate our house we had insured through them and move. We maintained the property as if we were still living there while it was for sale, yet the minute they found out it was vacant they completely dropped our homeowner's coverage, forcing us to get extremely expensive vacant house coverage.
All in all, not impressed whatsoever.

The customer service was friendly, very nice agent, knowledgeable. Very disappointed the rate went up 60% for my 3rd renewal, especially considering I had no claims and bundled with vehicle insurance. Not likely to continue my insurance with this company.
